5K-9 fundraiser is Saturday
This year’s 5K-9 fun run/walk fundraiser for the Hiawatha Animal Humane Society will be Saturday, May 10, in Lake City.
“We hope you and your favorite canine buddy will join us at Ohuta Beach Park, (down by the lake) in Lake City,” the organization said in a news release.
Check-in begins to at 8:15 a.m. and the race will start at 9 a.m. The race route is along the River Walk from Ohuta Park to a turnaround point near the Gilbert Creek bridge and back.
The fee for the race is $35. Checks should be made out to “HAHS”.
