Airport and its pilots remembered

About 50 people gathered in the ballroom at City Hall in Lake City April 25 to see and hear about a time when the Lake City Airport and others like it were an important part of the nation’s air infrastructure.

The event was a grand opening for the Lake City Historical Society’s exhibit about the Lake City Airport. The exhibit, featuring photos and mementos from the airport, fills a large display case in the ballroom. For the event, additional photos and memorabilia covered a large table top as well.
