Andru Peters was a ‘tireless advocate’

When Andru Peters died May 14 at age 84, many groups lost a tireless and longtime advocate.

Born and raised in Lake City, Peters lived most of his adult life in California, working primarily in the transportation industry in a variety of roles.

After returning to Lake City, Peters spent his remaining years serving his community as a leader, as a lobbyist, and as a historian.

A common refrain among people who worked with him during this period was how tireless and passionate he could be.
