Bittersweet banner honors Jacob’s memory

Members of the Bittersweet Garden Club and daughters of Ila Jacob, Vickie Ahrens and Sandy Coyle, gathered recently under the newly installed banner made in memory of Ila Jacob.

Mary Jo Strauss and Sandy Coyle contributed money for the banner.

Ila Jacob was a long-time active member of Bittersweet Garden Club for over 50 years. Ila contributed her kindness, knowledge, and creativeness in all aspects of gardening in her lifetime, the club said in a news release.
