Books on CD leaving library collection
The Lake City Public Library is making a change. We are removing Books on CD from our local collection.
This change is happening for several reasons:
• Circulation – People are using books on CD less and less. Over the last few years only 3% of our audiobook collection is checked out at any given time (this equates to 8-15 books circulating out of 532).
• Technology – Most new vehicles and computers have moved away from offering CD players because of the public shift to a digital format.
