Chamber seeks hearts to spread joy
The Chamber has been busy keeping the business community and others informed on what is happening with COVID-19. Besides that, the chamber is joining forces with individuals, businesses, and organizations from all across the world to spread joy by displaying hearts in windows, and they are asking for community help in making a grand display. “We have a plethora of windows at our chamber office that we’d love to fill with hearts — a growing trend across the world to bring happiness in these times of uncertainty. If you, your children or anyone wants to create hearts for us to display in our windows send them our way! If your heart has space write your name on it and tell us what brings you joy and happiness,” said Chamber Executive Director Michelle Larson. Hearts can be mailed to the Lake City Chamber of Commerce, 100 E. Lyon Ave, Lake City, MN or contact the chamber at 651-345-4123, via Facebook messenger, or email firstname.lastname@example.org and they will help figure out a way to get them from you safely. “These are times of uncertainty and it’s tough for everyone to wrap their heads around. We’ve seen so much community support happening already and it goes to show how amazing the people of Lake City are. It’s important to remember that this too shall pass and we will be better people and a stronger community because of it. We’re already proving that,” said Larson.
