Chief Wabasha I descendent visits Reads Landing museum

Chief Wabasha I was born in 1718 in what is present day Minnesota. He befriended King Louis XV and encouraged trade between the French and Dakota Nations.

There are many generations of decendents of Chief Wabasha 1. One of the numerous decendents, Georgia Walters of Duluth, Minn., visited the Reads Landing School Museum Sept. 17.
