City presents Historic Preservation Commission certificates of merit

At the July 12 Lake City City Council meeting, Megan Smith, the city’s planning and community development director announced the recipients of four Lake City Historic Preservation Commission certificates of merit.

Each year the commission presents certificates “to people who really exemplify the spirit of historic preservation in our local community by either advocating for preservation, preserving historic properties, or going above and beyond, and finding ways that we can remember our history and our local culture here in Lake City,” Smith said.
