Experimental greenhouse promises fresh produce in the dead of winter

It was hot enough that people were conversing in the shade when they could Saturday, May 5, at the Lake City Catholic Worker Farm.

But deep winter is coming, and the newly constructed greenhouse they had come to see could be producing fresh lettuces, herbs, brassicas, Asian greens and sprouts when it does, thanks to some deliberate design choices.
