Five for Food begins Valentine’s Day
Five for Food, an initiative of the Greater Lake City Community Foundation for the Lake City Food Shelf, begins its eighth year on Feb. 14. The drive will end on March 31.
Returning sponsors have stepped forward with contributions from $500 to $1,000 for a total of $17,000.
The sponsors’ funds are pooled to match dollar for dollar contributions $5 and greater up the total of the sponsor’s pool.
The goal for 2022 is $40,000. Last year the goal of $35,000 was surpassed by over $5,000.
