Florence Twp. History Fair is coming Oct. 24

Friends of the Florence Town Hall will host a Florence Township history fair Saturday, Oct. 24, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the town hall, 33915 Hwy. 61, Frontenac.

Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded. There is no entrace charge. Everyone is welcome to help celebrate the town hall’s 140th anniversary and see recent acquisitions at the history center.

At 2 p.m. Pleasant Valley neighborhood resident Mike Murphy will present “The Rest of the Story of Pleasant Valley,” based on his research of the neighborhood.
