Goodhue County sheriff bans vehicles from unsafe area ice

Due to extended unseasonably warm weather, Goodhue County Sheriff Marty Kelly has closed the following bodies of water to certain motorized vehicle traffic pursuant to Minnesota State Statute 86B.106.
Lake Pepin (mile marker 773 to 784): This includes access points at Methodist Campus and Hok-Si-La Park landing.  All motorized vehicles prohibited on this body of water including, cars, trucks, ATV’s and snowmobiles.
Frontenac Pond (Florence Township): All motorized vehicles prohibited on this body of water including, cars, trucks, ATV’s and snowmobiles.
