A smaller-than-usual crowd was present at the dedication of Nancy Breen’s home at 416 North Prairie Street in Lake City on June 25.
Dedications for Habitat for Humanity builds like this one would typically host dozens of people, according to Stacy Larson, Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity’s executive director.
The average Habitat for Humanity build involves about 2,000 to 2,500 hours of volunteer labor, and those volunteers want to celebrate with the new homeowners.
COVID-19 made this dedciation a much smaller affair.
