Halvorson: The Play Park

Some of my favorite memories are time spent at the play park. We lived just a few blocks away and spent many fun filled days on the swings and rings.

Looking back I always pictured the play park as being larger than it is today. The other day I came across some pictures of my grandparents taken shortly after they came to Lake City to run the Hotel Lyon. I think it was about 1926.

Pictured are the slide, teeter todder, and rings. Not visible are the baby swings with safety bars and side rails and the sturdy swings for people of all ages.
