Holiday lighting, window displays, and more Christmas-themed fun

It’s beginning to look more like Christmas around Lake City, and that trend is forecast to intensify with this Saturday’s holiday lighting event in Patton Park.

The lighting takes place annually the Saturday after Thanksgiving and serves as an unofficial kickoff to the busy season of holiday events.

“This is a collaborative effort between the Lake City Fire Department, City of Lake City, Lake City Ambulance Service, Heidi’s Huggamug Cafe, and the Lake City Chamber of Commerce,” Chamber Director Heather Thomas said.
