Input sought on proposed Cemstone site plans

The City of Lake City will hold an open house Thursday, April 26, to go over the proposed site development plan for the former Cemstone property and adjoining land.

The open house will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at City Hall.

The city has owned the site since purchasing it in 2006.

Since then an electrical substation, community gardens and the city’s new public safety building have found a home on the site. But about 102 acres remain, including a former gravel pit spanning about 30 acres.
