Lake City’s Edie and Ken Hoffman celebrate 75 years of marriage

A chance meeting at a Hager City biker bar led to a marriage that on June 17 will have endured for 75 years.

Ken and Edie Hoffman met at The Viaduct in Hager City, Wis. They were both farm kids - Edie from the Bay City area, Ken from rural Red Wing.

They met through a mutual acquaintence.

“The gal (Edie) was tagging along with happened to be a neighbor of mine,” Ken said. “And then me and my buddy stopped in and she ran the FBI check on me. I passed it.”

They were married on June 17 at First Lutheran Church in Red Wing.
