Lake City Eagle Scout project remembers departed friend

When it came to the major project that’s a pre-requisite to becoming an Eagle Scout, Lake City Boy Scout Kellen Peterson had a few ideas in mind.
But when the idea for a memorial garden in honor of his friend Austin Scott came up, Peterson knew it was the one.
They met on the school bus in the first grade and were friends ever since. They partcipated in the same activities like trap shooting and scouting.
Scott passed away in 2019 at age 15.
