Legion Auxiliary, church women’s group supports Five for Food
Joyce Moechnig and Vicky Fick of the Lake City American Legion Auxiliary recently presented Lake City Food Shelf Co-Director Dianne Coombs, with a check for the annual “Five for Food” initiative for the Lake City Food Shelf. Moechnig also presented a check from the Women of Redeeming Grace Community Church.
The goal for this year is $50,000. “Five for Food” coordinator for the Greater Lake City Community Foundation, Bruce Carlstrom, said that, “In hope of reaching the $50,000 goal, the donation period has been extended to April 10.”
