This past May, the Wabasha County portion of Lake City was confirmed by the U.S. Treasury as a Federal Opportunity Zone. Under this program, investors can enjoy significant tax benefits by investing in Opportunity Zones through Opportunity Funds. For Lake City, this designation opens doors to attract new investment to our community, and the Economic Development Authority (EDA) is working to get ready.
