Mah Jongg tournament held

The Lake City Mah Jongg players hosted their seventh annual Mah Jonggathon at The Bluffs on Tuesday, Sept. 25.

Thirty players participated: seven from Wabasha, 11 from Rochester, and 12 from Lake City.

Wabasha players held a similar event in May and Rochester players had one in July.

This year’s first place winner was Laura Rud from Rochester, Karen Day and Mercedes Steinbauer from Lake City tied for second, and Carol Krohse from Rochester won the fourth prize.
