Mayor speaks to scouts

On Jan. 13, Lake City Mayor Mark Nichols was guest speaker during the Lake City Boy Scout Troop 94 meeting.

The mayor discussed local government roles and gave examples of projects past and present that the Troop members could relate to as young citizens of Lake City, such as the Highway 61 project and Hok-Si-La Park updates.

Several of the Troop members have been working toward their Citizenship in the Community merit badge, and as such have watched City Council meetings online.
