Organizer: Open house on Guatemalan culture was a success

On Nov. 20, the Lake City Area Arts Center was the site of an open house on Guatemalan culture organized by the Lake City Hispanic Inclusion group.

“The event was a success. I believe that our Guatemalan community felt a sense of belonging to the Lake City community, which is what we were all looking for,” said Dalila Loyo, one of the organizers. “They were very participative and proud to show their dresses and their ‘trajes’ for all the people who attended.”
