Retired riverboat captain and author to speak at Wabasha County Historical Society

On Sunday, July 13, at 2 p.m., the Wabasha County Historical Society (WCHS) Museum invites the public to an engaging and entertaining afternoon with Captain Lee Hendrix, author of Peep Light: Stories of a Mississippi River Boat Captain.

With more than 50 years of experience working on the Mississippi River, beginning as a towboat deckhand in 1972 and rising to pilot and captain of both towboats and passenger vessels, Captain Hendrix brings a rare, firsthand perspective to one of America’s most vital waterways.
