Rice finishes first at USA Powerlifiting
Christy Rice of Lake City finished in first place out of four competitors in the 63 kg weight class at the USA Powerlifting Twins Cities Open held Saturday, June 9, at the Minneapolis Convention Center. She also finished in first place last August at the USAPL Minnesota Push Pull Classic in Farmington.
Christy is currently training at Anytime Fitness in Lake City to beat the Minnesota women’s 63 kg bench press record of 181.5 pounds. And she is getting close, with a successful 170 pound bench press at the Twin Cities meet.
