So much to do this weekend
There’s a lot going on this weekend, especially if you are interested in running 3.125 miles, local authors, history, live music, or classic cars.
Last Market by the Lake of 2026
In a sign of impending autumn, the Lake City Market by the Lake’s last market of 2026 is Thursday (today) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ohuta Park.
“It will be a celebration of gratitude, thanking all PoP (Power of Produce) Club members for trying new things, vendors, farmers, musicians, artists, community supporters, Lake City Marina staff, City of Lake City, and public safety for making the market the incredible event that it is,” market committee member Susan Draves said. “PoP Club members will write thank-you cards to farmers as well.”
Hispanic Inclusion of Lake City invites the public to help support our town’s immigrant community by donating gift cards from businesses such as Kwik Trip, Fresh Market, or Family Dollar. They will have a booth set up at the Lake City Market by the Lake on Thursday.
As usual, there will be live music (this week’s performer is Charlie Cannon), vendors, food trucks and more. People can find out more on the Lake City Market by the Lake Facebook page.
