State park to host night sky viewing on Sept. 23

The public is invited to Frontenac State Park on Saturday, Sept. 23, for a public sky observation of the young Moon – 8.7 days after the New Moon.

“See the planets Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter, and Uranus, bright stars, double stars, and more by telescope with guidance from the Rochester Astronomy Club,” according to a news release.

The event is from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the picnic shelter.Attendees should park in the overflow parking area.
