Stone carving workshop is Aug. 6

The Lake City Public Library invites the public ages 14 and older to participate in a stone carving workshop on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. 1 p.m. at the Lake City Public Library. This workshop is free; however, registration is required.

During this three-hour workshop with artist Jeffrey Tibbetts, participants carve a physical representation from a natural material while developing an understanding of aspects of the Ojibwe world view represented in artistic form through the natural elements of the cosmos, according to a news release.
