Student receives highly competitive art scholarship

A Lincoln High School senior might be the first Lake City student ever to receive an incoming student merit scholarship from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD).

Naoto Lichtblau-Tepley will receive $15,000 per semester over four semesters for a total award amount of $60,000.

It’s a competitive scholarship based on artists’ statements and portfolio works that pitted Lichtblau-Tepley against all other incoming MCAD students.
