Tiger Terrace dedicated

An eight-year dream of a Lincoln High School teacher and some of her students officially became a reality May 29. That day Lake City Public Schools held a formal dedication ceremony for the James and Cathleen Gates Tiger Terrace.

The Tiger Terrace is a patio located on the Garden Street side of the school, just outside teacher Angie Haviland’s family and consumer science classroom. It features grills and other outdoor cooking equipment, but the versatile space has also been used by other teachers and programs at the school.
