Sig Anderson’s wood carvings were on display on the wall at the Lake City Area Arts during it’s military appreciation exhibit in November.
On the conference table at the other side of the center was a tiny model of one of the huge guns he commanded in Europe in the mid-1960s, during the second Berlin Crisis that had North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Soviet troops watching each other warily over the electrified double barbed wire fence between East Germany and West Germany.
He found the 1:72 scale model online.
