UPS drop box coming to downtown Lake City

People who want to ship packages with UPS should have a place to drop them off in downtown Lake City soon.

On April 8 the City Council approved an encroachment request from Knight Barry to permit a UPS drop box outside the firm’s office at 101 W. Center Street.

According to the background information in the council agenda, the box will be put in a bump-out behind an existing bench so that it doesn’t interfere with sidewalk traffic.
