Veterans honored in-person and online

A tribute to veterans took place in Patton Park on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

At 11 a.m., the bell at City Hall across the street from the park tolled 11 times.

Then the American Legion and VFW Color Guard did a rifle salute followed by a performance of taps.

In attendance were a handful of auxiliary members and Dave McKenzie, a veteran of World War II.

Later that day Lincoln High School streamed its annual Veterans Day program online.
