Walkers can explore Wacouta Township July 1

On Wednesday, June 17, the Walking Lake Pepin group walk had 18 walkers make the 1.5 mile round trip on the Sand Point Trail in Frontenac State Park to the shore of Lake Pepin which reaches out to Long Point.
The group found a fallen tree they had to walk under along the trail. The trail was dry and the boardwalk along the trail was in good repair.
Once the group reached Lake Pepin many of the walkers walked along the beach out to Long Point and were treated with some kite surfers at the end of the point.
