Walking Lake Pepin adds another Jewell Nursery walk

Walking Lake Pepin participants came together Wednesday, June 22, to walk through parts of the former Jewell Nursery property.

Starting at Underwood Park on 10th Street Jim Schreck presented the history of the origin of the Jewell Nursery, which at one time was the largest landscape nursery in the nation.

Schreck also shared stories of his time working at the Jewel Nursery from his boyhood through college.

He will repeat the Jewell Nursery walking tour on Thursday, June 30, starting at Underwood Park on 10th Street at 7 p.m.

All are welcome to attend.
