The Walking Lake Pepin (WLP) group had a warm hazy walk at Frontenac State Park on Wednesday, July 21. Twenty-two walkers came out to walk and enjoy the view of the river looking south to Lake City from the top of the bluff.
Frontenac State Park is the Minnesota State Park closest to Lake City and a favorite hiking spot for the WLP group. The park offers visitors a rich diversity of natural communities and landscapes: bluffs, prairie, floodplain forests, and hardwood forest in its 2,300 acres.
