Young cancer survivor honored after successful bear hunt

Hunter Krusmark of Lake City, son of Jerry and Kendra Krusmark, was one of nine youths that were recently honored at the Boone and Crockett’s 30th Big Game Awards Ceremony held in Springfield, Mo., Aug. 1-4 for the bear he harvested in 2016.

Hunter was diagnosed with a rare form of Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2014. In September 2016, Hunter qualified for a bear hunt through United Special Sportsman Alliance.
