Altendorf and Johnson square off in GOP primary
Local voters have a few contested races in the Aug. 9 primary election, including a Republican race between Jesse Johnson and Pam Altendorf in state House District 20A that has generated many letters to the editor in this paper in recent weeks.
As a partisan primary, voters will have to choose and only vote in races for a single party on their primary ballot.
As a result of redistricting, Lake City and surrounding areas will be part of U.S. House District 1 next year. It is currently part of District 2.
