Two Lake City residents were injured in separate collisions with animals on Highway 61 between Lake City and Red Wing last week.
On Aug. 5 just after 3 a.m., a Honda CRV driven by a 70-year-old Lake City woman was northbound on Highway 61 near Wacouta Road when it struck a horse, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The driver of the car was treated at Mayo Clinic Red Wing for non-life-threatening injures.
