Animal collisions injure Lake City residents on consecutive days

Two Lake City residents were injured in separate collisions with animals on Highway 61 between Lake City and Red Wing last week.

On Aug. 5 just after 3 a.m., a Honda CRV driven by a 70-year-old Lake City woman was northbound on Highway 61 near Wacouta Road when it struck a horse, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The driver of the car was treated at Mayo Clinic Red Wing for non-life-threatening injures.
