City hires planner for Ohuta Park, marina beach area

The Lake City City Council Monday hired the firm WSB to develop a plan for the Ohuta Park and marina beach areas.

City Planning and Community Development Director Megan Smith told the council that the firm “hits all the boxes that the coundil was looking at” in choosing a planner.

In particular, she said, the city wanted someone with landscape architecture experience to figure out how the amenities will flow together while complementing the natural landscape.

Smith also touted public outreach the company plans.
