Clerk: Polling places busy despite rain

Lake City City Clerk Kari Schreck, who oversees elections in the city, said rain Nov. 5 didn’t seem to be a deterrent and voter turnout was excellent so far.

“All polls opened with lines this morning at 7 a.m.,” she said in an email Tuesday morning. “A lot of voter questions regarding process this year. Something new - but our judges are well trained and know their jobs.”

Polls were scheduled to close at 8 p.m., which is after this issue of the Graphic went to print.
