Council hits reset on housing process

There was no public meeting on a proposed housing project Monday, May 3. Instead, the Lake City City Council voted in a special meeting April 28 to direct the city administrator to develop a process by which stakeholders, the public, and the council could weigh in on a proposal to present to the council at the May 10 council meeting.

Mayor Mark Nichols called the April 28 meeting because of confusion over the city’s housing initiative.
