County approves $17.1M proposed tax levy
Wabasha County Commissioners on Sept. 19 approved a preliminary 2024 property tax levy of 5.5 percent, or about $17.1 million, an increase of $895,206 (5.5 percent) over the 2023 adopted levy.
A Truth in Taxation meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12 in the County Board room in the Old Courthouse Annex at 625 Jefferson Ave. in Wabasha.
Based on the proposed budget, the following amounts were determined to be needed for the proposed 2024 property tax levy:
