Eight file for school board, filing period ends Aug. 16

Filing for four seats on the Lake City School Board is open, and eight candidates had filed already as of Tuesday.
Six candidates filed for the three four-year openings on the board this November.
Two filed to run for the special election to fill out the remaining two years of the seat won by Jack Rol in 2020. Rol resigned in 2021 and Patrick Dwelle was appointed to the seat until the next general election.
