Fire victim remains unidentified

Officials have yet to positively identify the victim of a fatal RV fire at 914 N. High St. in Lake City, according to police.

Sgt. Bill Weist, Lake City Police public information officer, said the department is working with the medical examiner and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to identify the victim using DNA.

Police responded to a call of smoke coming from the RV on Friday, Dec. 27, and arrived to find the vehicle “fully consumed by fire,” according to a news release.
