Free mental health workshop to be offered to community

Suicide is the eighth leading cause of death in Minnesota and it’s on the rise. The Wabasha County Mental Health Action Team is offering a free workshop to equip community members with skills that can help someone in crisis. Workshops take place on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Wabasha County Jail and Law Enforcement Center, 848 17th Street E. in Wabasha and Friday, Sept. 13, 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center, 1200 Grant Blvd. W. in Wabasha.
