Goodhue County Commissioners wrap up 2018

The Goodhue County Board in its final meeting of 2018 concluded with little fanfare and some business from 2017.

On Tuesday, Dec. 18, the board approved the purchase of 621 W. Fourth St., Red Wing, with the purpose of building a playground on the property.

The county will purchase the property from Merchant’s Bank for $200,000 if the city of Red Wing approves the development of a playground. This comes after the Red Wing City Council discussed on Monday, Dec. 10, that residents have requested more playgrounds within the city.
