Goodhue County looks at welfare fraud position

Upon the request of Commissioner Barney Nesseth, the County Board discussed the possibility of hiring a welfare fraud investigator at the October 17 meeting.

County Attorney Stephen Betcher said he appreciated the opportunity to talk about this topic. He said, “It is very timely, since the budget is still under consideration, and there are implications for the budget, depending on how the Board chooses to go forward.”
