Goodhue County wants state to keep South Country

Goodhue County Commissioner Dan Rechtzigel sang the praises of South Country Health Alliance at the Goodhue County Fair Grounds on Thursday, Aug. 13, during the GoodhueCounty Board meeting. He said the organization has provided excellent care for Goodhue County residents.
Rechtzigel explained that those services are being threatened by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, which ignored the recommendation of the county asking that South Country be allowed to continue to provide prepaid medical assistance and Minnesota Care programs for Goodhue County residents.
