Higher than expected cost for city dock, Hok-Si-La trail

Rising material costs and other factors are causing bids for city projects to come in higher than expected, officials say.

The Lake City City Council on Monday, Jan. 11, approved contracts for a marina dock project and a multi-use trail to Hok-Si-La Park.

The council approved a contract with River City Welding to replace decking and flotation tubs on the marina’s 800 dock for $457,785.
